Monday, 1 November 2021 (YJC)_ Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman lashed out at US for its cruel economic war against Iran.

Khatibzadeh Blasts US for its Cruel Sanctions and Economic War Against IranIn a press conference on Monday Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh criticized the US administration for its cruel sanctions and economic war against Iran and said the talks between two countries would be inconceivable until the removal of the sanctions.

“It has been a long time that Iran and US haven’t had a discussion, no direct or indirect contact or meeting between the two countries has been made since the US withdrawal from the JCPOA,” Khatibzadeh said.

He went on to say that “The US, as a violator of Resolution 2231, illegally withdrew from the JCPOA, this destroyed the Iranian Nuclear deal. Since then, US has imposed trans-regional and oppressive sanctions on the Iranian nations and impeded any economic ties between Iran and other countries.”

Khatibzadeh also announced that “Once the sanctions removed the dialogue between Iran and US will take place. these talks wanted to ensure a firm, committed and practical return of the US to its commitments.”

Finally, he said that “This week, the date of the Vienna talks will be finalized.”

Prior to that, Iranian Vice-President for Economic Affairs Mohsen Rezaei blasted the US for sanctions and economic war against Iran while comparing it with the world’s great dictators.

He also explained that “Iran has clearly shown through nuclear deal that it is not looking for a war, whether military or economic” and noted “What we seek is the progress, of our own country and of the whole world.”
