Sunday, 31 October 2021 (YJC)_ Head of Iran's Civil Defense Organization said that the US and the Zionist regime are behind the recent cyberattack that interrupts the service in the gas stations.
Head of Iran's Civil Defense Organization Brigadier General Gholamreza Jalali accounted the US and the Zionist regime responsible for the recent cyberattack that interrupts the service in the gas stations.
“We do believe that this attack has been carried out by the Americans and the Zionists,” he said while noting that “the attack targeted the middleware in the fuel delivery systems and was complicated and difficult to fend off.”
Iranian official went on to say that “There would have been a need for infiltration if the attack targeted the hardware layer, that is either the company that has manufactured the software would have been responsible or a disrupting piece of equipment would have to be installed.”
He then referred to the brief outage last Tuesday by a cyberattack an said “30 percent of the gas stationed resumed their offline services, while 12 hours after the attack, 60 percent returned to the normal status.”
General Jalali also said that “As many as 1,400 drills were held to reinforce the country's cyber defense prowess last year, and this year 66 such maneuvers have gone underway.”
