Saturday, 30 October 2021 (YJC)_ Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman condemned the US Treasury’s latest sanctions on real and legal Iranian persons.
During his remarks on Saturday, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh criticized the new sanctions imposed by US against real and legal Iranian persons and named it as the action showing contradictory behavior.
“A quite contradictory behavior of the White House is shown through the new sanction,” Khatibzadeh said.
“US administration speaks about its intention to return to the JCPOA but continues the same policy of former President Donald Trump, this shows it is not trustworthy at all” he continues.
Khatibzadeh went on to say that “Different US administrations have proved they have no discerning eye for realities in Iran,” and added that “Such actions are the continuation of the Trump administration’s failed ‘maximum pressure’ policy that brought nothing but new failures as in the past.”
“Iran’s determination to defend security and peace of the noble Iranian people won’t be undermined by such pressures and sanctions, the path of sustainable economic development will be continued by Iran with strength,” he added.
The US Treasury Department imposed a fresh round of sanctions on four individuals and two entities allegedly involved in promoting the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) programs of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and its Quds Force, on Friday.
