Abdullah al-Zayadi, commander of the 41st Al-Hashd al-Shabi Brigade (based in Salah al-Din province), said in a statement that some domestic and foreign parties were acting simultaneously in line with ISIL's goals and the fight against al-Hashd al-Shabi.
According to the Saberin News Telegram Channel, he said that there is a need for a joint operation room with all security agencies to exchange information, and that ISIL terrorists operating on Iraqi soil enter from outside the country. Criticizing the performance of the Iraqi military and security forces, he said that all operations against ISIL are a reaction.
The al-Hashd al-Shabi commander also said that the US anti-ISIL coalition was not cooperating in providing information on ISIL movements.
Abdullah al-Zayadi also said that most of the budget allocated to al-Hashd al-Shabi would be spent on salaries and that the weapons provided to al-Hashd needed to be reconsidered.
He went on to stress that al-Hashd al-Shabi has become part of the regional equation, and that many countries in the region and neighboring Iraq are seeking to disband the force.
