The Office of the Attorney General of Armenia has denied allegations made by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev against the two countries, citing statistics on joint Tehran-Yerevan plans to combat drug trafficking.
Aliyev claimed a few days ago that "Armenia and Iran have been using the Nagarno-Karabakh territory for years to smuggle drugs into Europe."
In response to Aliyev's allegations, Nikol Pashinyan stated that Iran and Armenia are helping each other fight drug trafficking. The Iranian Foreign Ministry later denied Aliyev's allegations.
