Thursday, 28 October 2021 (YJC)_ The Iranian Health Ministry spox announced that 11,409 new Covid-19 cases has been detected in the country in the past 24 hrs.
The Iranian Health Ministry spokesperson announced on Thursday that 11,409 new COVID-19 infections have been detected across the country in the past 24 hours 1,477 of which has been hospitalized.
“A sum of 11,409 COVID-19 infections and 159 deaths has been identified due to the disease in the past 24 hours” the spox said while adding that “This brings the total number of cases to 5,899,509.”
159 COVID patients have lost their lives in the past 24 hours that bring the total death toll 125,875,” the ministry added.
“4,078 people are being treated in ICUs in hospitals across the country, while 5,468,620 have already gained recovery,” the health ministry added.
The ministry also added that more than 35,187,615 coronavirus diagnosis tests have so far been carried out across the country while warning that “22 cities are rated red, 128 cities are orange, 215 cities are yellow, and 83 cities are blue.”
Also, it has been announced that during the last 24 hours, 1,078,464 doses of the vaccines have been injected across the country while in general 32,468,800 people have been fully vaccinated and 52,059,237 others have already received the first dose.
According to the latest figures, more than 246,001,006 people have so far been infected with the novel coronavirus globally, with the deaths standing 4,992,077 and recoveries amounting to 222,922,564.
