Thursday, 28 October 2021 (YJC)_ Enrique Mora, Coordinator of the Joint Commission of the IAEA Board, met with the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency after meeting with the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister and agreeing to start negotiations to resume implementation of the Iran nuclear deal.

Enrique Mora meets Grossi after meeting with BagheriRafael Grossi wrote in a tweet on Wednesday night that he has always been pleased to meet with Enrique Mora, Deputy Secretary General of the European External Action Service, and to discuss increasing cooperation between the two sides. He added that he is eager to continue cooperation between the two sides.
Grossi, who has traveled to Brussels, has previously met with a number of senior Belgian officials to discuss the country's nuclear development. But his meeting with Enrique Mora comes hours after Iran and the European Union agreed to start talks to resume implementation.

Ali Bagheri, the Deputy Foreign Minister, who arrived in Brussels last night, met at the EU headquarters with Enrique Mora, Deputy Secretary-General of the EU External Action Service, to discuss the effective lifting of sanctions and the adherence of other parties to their commitments. At the end of the meeting, the two sides agreed to start negotiations by the end of November.

In this meeting, the Deputy Foreign Minister of our country, emphasizing the experience of several years of negligence in the implementation and eventual unilateral and illegal withdrawal of the JCPOA by the United States and the inaction of European countries in fulfilling their accepted commitments, stated what is relevant for Iran. The effective lifting of sanctions and the normalization of trade and economic relations with Iran is, and any agreement must meet Iran's demands in this regard.

Bagheri considered providing an guarantee for non-repetition of misconduct and illegal behavior of the other parties to be an inescapable demand of Iran.
