Tuesday, 26 October 2021 (YJC)_ Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces considers withdrawal of the American forces from Afghanistan as a sign of decline in the country’s power.
Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Bagheri, said the US withdrawal from Afghanistan and other countries is a sign of decline in Washington's power.
“Thank God today we are witnessing a period of decline and weakness of the criminal US which is happening after a period of difficulty,” he said while referring to the escape of US troops from Afghanistan, the beginning of the US evacuation from Iraq and parts of Syria, and the reduction of advanced US air defense equipment along the Persian Gulf.
He went on to say that none of these steps should be interpreted a decrease in threats or normalization of the situation for us and warned that although direct military action has become difficult for Washington and Tel Aviv, conspiring against Iran would never end from their sides and said “They will always create problems for Iran and its regional partners.”
General Bagheri also noted that “Armed Forces have to remain vigilant more than ever as the current situation requires so.”
