Tehran, YJC. Iranian official says that Iran is ready to take orders from neighbor countries to launch their loads intended for space.
Mohammad Shariatmadari, Director of the Supreme Space
Council of Iran pointed to the Government of Insight and Hope’s (the Rouhani
administration) willingness to expand the country’s aerospace activiites and
said "Regional countries can launch their space products from the Iranian space
launch base.”
Speaking in interview with Mehr news agency he said that Iran
has a program to send man to space in ten years.
"Iran’s space system will change its approach which is aimed
at rescheduling the projects.”
"So far we have
managed to send a small living creature with a small biocapsule. We will
continue to way to sending man to space.”
Shariatmadari stated "Right now we are revising the country’s
10-year space program aimed at adopting an applied outlook toward the issue of
space and precipitate the country’s balanced development. The Strategic Committee
of the Supreme Space Council is composing the plan which will be passed by the
council as soon as it is finalized.”
He also stated that Iran is willing to work in cooperation
with regional countries, adding "We will try to share the bases which have been
constructed in unparalleled spots of the country and are unrivaled in neighbor
countries.”
Further pointing out that the cooperation will be carried
out via companies and other related organizations, he said that Iran will be
ready to launch loads into space for regional countries.
