Following the announcement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Belarus was instructed to follow up on this issue immediately.

He added:
Accordingly, the embassy immediately contacted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other relevant Belarusian institutions to obtain additional information on the situation of compatriots stranded on the Belarusian-Lithuanian border and to resolve their problems. During these contacts, the embassy requested the cooperation of the competent Belarusian institutions to reach out to Iranian nationals detained at the border and to investigate their situation immediately.

Khatibzadeh emphasized:
Due to the importance and urgency of the issue, an attempt was made to establish direct contact with the detainees. Accordingly, in addition to the ambassador's phone call with one of the detainees, a delegation from the embassy this morning (Sunday) to investigate the situation of Iranian nationals and prepare conditions. They were repatriated to the Belarus-Lithuania border region, which, according to reports, is currently in the border region, working with the regional border guards to try to resolve the problems of its captives as soon as possible.
