Sunday, 24 October 2021 (YJC)_ Announcing the phone call with his counterpart in Baku, the Iranian Foreign Minister said that Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan are two Muslim countries with many commonalities, and that the relations between the two are developing in the shadow of mutual respect.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, announced on Sunday morning the development of relations between Tehran and Baku.
Referring to his telephone conversation with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Amir-Abdollahian wrote on his Twitter page:
The Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan are two Muslim neighbors, with many commonalities.
He explained about his phone call:
We had a frank, cordial and constructive dialogue with my colleague Mr. Jeyhun Bayramov on the roadmap for comprehensive relations.
The head of Iran's diplomatic service added:
Relations between two governments and two nations develop in the shadow of mutual respect.
