Sunday, 24 October 2021 (YJC)_ In an interview with NBC News, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reiterated his hope that he would be able to meet with the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran soon, calling the meeting very important.
In an interview with NBC News, Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, once again expressed hope that he would be able to meet with the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran soon.
Grossi said in an interview during his stay in Washington:
I have never spoken to the new Foreign Minister (Iran). I hope to have a chance to meet him soon because this is very important. So when a problem arises, when there is a misunderstanding, when there is a disagreement, we can talk about it. I already had this (possibility).
He also claimed that the IAEA monitoring program in Iran was no longer complete after Tehran rejected a request to repair cameras at a key facility, raising the possibility that the world would never be able to reconstruct a picture of what the Iranians had done.
According to the network, the IAEA Director General claimed that Iran had allowed the International Atomic Energy Agency to access most of its cameras to service them and replace batteries and memory cards, with one notable exception.
