Saturday, 23 October 2021 (YJC)_ The Iranian ICT minister said by next year 100% of villages in the country will have access to high-speed Internet.
During his remarks on Saturday, Iranian Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eissa Zarepour, announced that by next year 100% of villages in the country will have access to high-speed Internet.
“By the Iranian year 1401 (21 March 2022-23), all villages, even in the remote areas, will have access to the high-speed internet,” he said while noting that currently about 80% of the country’s villages can easily connect to the Internet.
He made these remarks during his trip to northeastern city of Mashhad with the aim of inauguration the Science and Technology Park in the city.
