Saturday, 23 October 2021 (YJC)_ During the meeting of the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran with the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Taliban Provisional Government, the solution of the migrants' problems and cooperation in the fields of trade and energy were discussed.
The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Bahadur Aminian, in Kabul met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the interim Taliban, Maulvi Amirkhan Mottaqi.
During the meeting, Aminian called economic problems the common enemy of Iran and Afghanistan, and Iran is ready to invest in Afghanistan's energy, transportation, mining, trade and health sectors.
Mottaki announced the readiness of the Taliban to cooperate with Iran in various fields, and called for special attention to resolve the issue of immigrants in Iran and steps to alleviate their problems.
On the other hand, Hassan Kazemi Qomi, the Special Representative of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Afghanistan, who attended a meeting on Afghanistan in Russia, said in an interview with Sputnik:
The stability and security of the region and neighboring countries of Afghanistan depends on the situation in Afghanistan.
The representative of Iran stated:
If there is stability and security in Afghanistan, stability and security will definitely be transferred to other countries. This is the case with instability and insecurity and the spread of terrorism.
Iran's special envoy for Afghanistan stated: "Everyone must help Afghanistan to get out of this situation."
He continued:
The issue of sovereignty of Afghanistan is the responsibility of the people of Afghanistan, and the people of Afghanistan are in charge of appointing their own representatives, and God willing, I hope that conditions will prevail in Afghanistan so that a people's government can be formed based on the will of the people.
