Thursday, 21 October 2021 (YJC)_ Head of IRCS announced that 29th shipment of COVID-19 vaccine was imported.
Head of Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) Karim Hemmati announced on Thursday that 29th shipment of COVID-19 vaccine, including six million doses of coronavirus vaccine, was imported into the country.
“The 29th cargo of COVID-19 vaccine was imported by IRCS this morning,” Hemmati said while adding that “the imported cargo was handed over to the Ministry of Health and Medical Education 6 million of which is “Sinopharm”.”
He went on to add that “Over the past two weeks, 36 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine were imported into the country by Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS).”
Finally, he announced that total number of COVID-19 vaccine imported into the country by the Society since Iranian month of Ordibehesht (May 21) is 88,390,000.
