Yemeni media reported hours ago that several explosions were heard in the "Sawan" area north of Sanaa, and sources close to Sanaa reported that Saudi coalition fighters had attacked the area.
A coalition spokesman has officially claimed responsibility for the attack, according to the official Saudi news agency today (Thursday).
Turki al-Maliki claimed that the Saudi coalition had "restrained itself" in recent months in support of UN efforts and initiatives to find a comprehensive and lasting political solution to the Yemeni crisis.
In recent months, Yemeni sources have repeatedly reported Saudi coalition attacks in various parts of Yemen, especially in the northern border areas.
The Yemeni army and popular committees have always stated that as long as the Saudi coalition continues its attacks on Yemen, its forces will continue their missile and drone strikes deep in Saudi territory.
