Tuesday, 19 October 2021 (YJC)_ Riyadh police announced the arrest of a Palestinian living in Saudi Arabia on charges of violating national security and insulting the country's leaders.
Riyadh regional police media spokesman Khalid al-Kardis said security forces had arrested a Palestinian resident.
According to the Sama news agency, Al-Kridis added that in a video he posted on the Internet, he used words that were an insult to national security, public order and an insult to the leaders of Saudi Arabia.
According to the report, the Palestinian has been handed over to the relevant judiciary for about forty years.
In February 2019, the Saudis arrested more than 60 Jordanians and Palestinians living in Saudi Arabia, including Mohammed al-Khadri, a member of the Hamas Islamic Resistance Movement, on charges of financially supporting the Palestinian resistance.
International legal organizations condemned the detention of these individuals and declared that the trial of these individuals was unfair and without any legal charges or reasons.
These detainees have been held in poor conditions over the past few months and have been subjected to insults, torture and ill-treatment.
