Monday, 18 October 2021 (YJC)_The Iranian Health Ministry announced that 11,844 new Covid-19 cases have been detected in the country in the past 24 hrs.
The Iranian Health Ministry spokesperson announced on Monday that 11,844 new COVID-19 infections have been detected across the country in the past 24 hours 1,804 of which has been hospitalized.
“A sum of 11,844 COVID-19 infections and 199 deaths has been identified due to the disease in the past 24 hours” the spox said while adding that “This brings the total number of cases to 5,796,659.”
181 COVID patients have lost their lives in the past 24 hours that bring the total death toll 124,256,” the ministry added.
“4,693people are being treated in ICUs in hospitals across the country, while 5,324,108 have already gained recovery,” the health ministry added.
The ministry also added “34,115,587 coronavirus diagnosis tests have so far been carried out across the country.
The health ministry public relations warned that 9 cities are rated red, 106 cities are orange, 228 cities are yellow, and 105 cities are blue.”
According to the latest figures, more than 241,684,065 people have so far been infected with the novel coronavirus globally, with the deaths standing 4,917,187 and recoveries amounting to 218,890,342.
