Monday, 18 October 2021 (YJC)_ Iranian President blasted the West’s Destructive mission in the neighboring Afghanistan.

Iranian President Criticized the West’s Destructive Mission in AfghanistanDuring his remarks while appointing Hassan Kazzemi Qomi as his special envoy for Afghanistan, Iranian President Seyed Ebrahim Raesi criticized the West for giving the mission of destroying the neighboring Afghanistan to the ISIL terrorist group.

Iranian President condemned the recent attacks on Muslims and mosques in the cities of Kunduz and Kandahar which resulted in death and injury of hundreds of people.

He said that the rising number of terrorist acts are in line with the destabilizing policy by the US in Afghanistan and added “Such attacks are carried out with the purpose of war and bloodshed in Afghanistan.”

Finally, he announced Iran's support for Afghan people, and said, “Iran is ready to help Afghanistan to restore security and stability to that country.”

Three back-to-back explosions that hit the Bibi Fatima Mosque during Friday prayers, more than 60 people were killed. That was one of the biggest blasts in Kandahar city.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack, however the blasts came just a week after a bomb attack claimed by the ISIL terrorist group killed more than 150 people at a Shia Mosque in the northeastern city of Kunduz.

Previously, in a statement to react to the terrorist attack at a Shia Mosque in Afghanistan’s Southern city of Kandahar, the Iranian foreign ministry underlined the need for unity among Shia and Sunni Muslims to repel the divisive plots of the enemies.
