Monday, 18 October 2021 (YJC)_ The spokesman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly said: The first step in starting negotiations is the lifting of sanctions and the implementation of the UN and European commitments.

Spokesman for the National Security Commission: We have not boycotted the return to JCPOAMahmoud Abbaszadeh Meshkini, the spokesman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, stated that we do not need Barjam and negotiations with the West to run the country:
Of course, we did not boycott the return to Barjam, but the ball is in the western court. Returning to Barjam is true of those who have left it or shied away from fulfilling their obligations.

Emphasizing that in the new circumstances, it is the Islamic Republic of Iran that must set a condition for the other side, he stated:
If the European Union intends to mediate between the P4 + 1 and Iran, it must assume that all the blame for the deadlock lies with the United States and the European troika.

The spokesman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly continued:
Clearly, the lifting of sanctions and the implementation of the UN Security Council's commitments by the United States and Europe is the first step in starting negotiations, not the last.

The representative of the people of Meshkinshahr in the Islamic Consultative Assembly said:
Those inside the country who intend to play the role of paving the way for Westerners by providing false information and analysis of Iran's economic situation are out of date.
