Saturday, 16 October 2021 (YJC)_ The Iranian Health Ministry announced that 7,515 new Covid-19 cases have been detected in the country in the past 24 hrs.
The Iranian Health Ministry spokesperson announced on Saturday that 7,515 new COVID-19 infections have been detected across the country in the past 24 hours 1,197 of which has been hospitalized.
“A sum of 7,515 COVID-19 infections and 181 deaths has been identified due to the disease in the past 24 hours” the spox said while adding that “This brings the total number of cases to 5,309,992.”
181 COVID patients have lost their lives in the past 24 hours that bring the total death toll 123,876,” the ministry added.
“4,840 people are being treated in ICUs in hospitals across the country, while 5,309,992 have already gained recovery,” the health ministry added.
The ministry also added “33,898,978 coronavirus diagnosis tests have so far been carried out across the country.”
“As many as 69,641,130 Covid 19 vaccines have been administered in the country so far,” according to the ministry.
According to the latest figures, more than 241,030,277 people have so far been infected with the novel coronavirus globally, with the deaths standing 4,907,691 and recoveries amounting to 218,254,786.
