New hovercraft to be built

Tehran, YJC. Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics has given news of introduction of a new hovercraft in a few months.

Ahmad Vahidi who was speaking in the sidelines of the ceremony for slipping the Jamaran2 destroyer into water said that the building of a new hovercraft in the first couple of months of the new Iranian year would be one of the Armed Forces' major projects.

The Islamic Republic of Iran’s Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics also provided comments on Jamaran2 and said "Jamaran2 is 94 m long, 11 m wide, and 7 m high. It weighs 1.3 tons and enjoys a variety of artillery, missile, as well as underwater defense systems.”

Vahidi also asserted that the presence of ultra-regional forces in the Caspian Sea is not acceptable and added "The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to form joint forces on the Caspian Sea, and it welcomes the initiative.”
