National Security Commission spokesman reacts to Aliyev's recent remarksMahmoud Abbaszadeh Meshkini, the spokesman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, in an interview with Tasnim, referring to the recent remarks of Elham Aliyev, said:
The efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran against drug trafficking are unparalleled in the world, otherwise the whole of Europe and the Caucasus would have suffered the consequences of drugs.

He went on to say that Iran has sacrificed thousands of martyrs and wounded in the fight against drug trafficking.
Some statements are against good neighborliness. There should be no gap between the two nations, Kish and Muslim.

The representative of Meshkinshahr in the parliament, emphasizing that unfortunately the ill-wishers of the two Muslim nations are looking for a gap between the two Islamic countries and their neighbors, said:
Iran is at the forefront of the fight against drug trafficking.

The spokesman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the parliament stated that in the referendums of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the use and transportation of drugs is forbidden:
According to recent statements by the President of Azerbaijan, Mr. Aliyev appears to have been given false information.
