Thursday, 14 October 2021 (YJC)_ The Iranian Health Ministry announced that 11,964 new Covid-19 cases have been detected in the country in the past 24 hrs.
The Iranian Health Ministry spokesperson announced on Thursday that 11,964 new COVID-19 infections have been detected across the country in the past 24 hours 1,770 of which has been hospitalized.
“A sum of 11,964 COVID-19 infections and 223 deaths has been identified due to the disease in the past 24 hours” the spox said while adding that “This brings the total number of cases to 5,754,047.”
223 COVID patients have lost their lives in the past 24 hours that bring the total death toll 123,498,” the ministry added.
“4,983 people are being treated in ICUs in hospitals across the country, while 5,280,624 have already gained recovery,” the health ministry added.
The ministry also added “33,674,304 coronavirus diagnosis tests have so far been carried out across the country.”
“7 cities are rated red, 108 cities are orange, 248 cities are yellow, and 85 cities are blue,” the statement by the ministry added.
According to the latest figures, more than 240,098,171people have so far been infected with the novel coronavirus globally, with the deaths standing 4,892,373and recoveries amounting to 217,408,944.
