Thursday, 14 October 2021 (YJC)_ General Hossein Salami highlighted the fact that IRGC Aerospace Force and the Iranian Army’s Air and Air Defense Forces are fully equipped with modern defense technology.
During his remarks on the second day of major airpower drills involving the IRGC’s Aerospace Division, the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force (IRIAF), and the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Defense Force (IRIADF), Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Hossein Salami said that IRGC Aerospace Force and the Iranian Army’s Air and Air Defense Forces are fully equipped with modern defense technology.
“A modern and advanced display of every aspect of air defense operations in case of any possible and unpredictable scenarios is what we can see during the current exercise,” General Salami said.
He went on to note that thus far “All the targets within the area of the drills were struck by the systems’ first shot,” and added “IRGC’s Aerospace Division and the Army’s Air Defense Force have acquired cutting edge and modern defense technology.”
IRGC commander went on to clearly talk about the message behind the drills and said “invariable message of unity is the main aim of these exercises.”
He also noted that during the Western-backed imposed Iraqi war “Unity was rooted in the dual forces’ defensive cooperation.”
Previously, Deputy Coordinator of Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Brigadier General Fereydoun Mohammadi Saghaei said that IRGC Aerospace Force is providing full airspace security to Iran.
Earlier on Tuesday morning and in the central desert areas of Iran a large-scale aerial drill has started by Iranian Army and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) with the aim of enhancing preparedness for defending the country’s skies.
This is the operational phase of the joint large-scale drill, which codenamed Modafe’an-e Aseman-e Velayat 1400 (Defenders of Velayat Skies 1400), that has started today.
