Tuesday, 12 October 2021 (YJC)_ The Iranian Health Ministry announced that 13,391 new Covid-19 cases have been detected in the country in the past 24 hrs.
The Iranian Health Ministry spokesperson announced on Teusday that 13,391 new COVID-19 infections have been detected across the country in the past 24 hours 1,869 of which has been hospitalized.
“A sum of 13,391 COVID-19 infections and 213 deaths has been identified due to the disease in the past 24 hours” the spox said while adding that “This brings the total number of cases to 5,729,785.
213 COVID patients have lost their lives in the past 24 hours that bring the total death toll 123,081,” the ministry added.
“5,124 people are being treated in ICUs in hospitals across the country, while 5,249,900 have already gained recovery,” the health ministry added.
The ministry also added “More than 33.45 million coronavirus diagnostic tests have been carried out in Iran so far and over 46.25 million people have received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.”
According to the latest figures, more than 239,177,209 people have so far been infected with the novel coronavirus globally, with the deaths standing 4,875,901 and recoveries amounting to 216,424,254.
