According to Al-Ahd news website, Sheikh "Mohammad Yazbak", the head of Hezbollah's religious delegation, emphasized in a speech that the purpose of importing Iranian fuel to Lebanon was to break the US will so that the government might do something to solve the people's problems and reduce their suffering.
Sheikh Yazbak added:
We expected the government to play its role in alleviating the suffering of the people after its formation, but the darkness in the country continues and the prices of gas and oil derivatives are rising.
The head of the Lebanese Hezbollah Sharia delegation further criticized the performance of Lebanese officials and emphasized:
Why aren't they leaning east? Is it because they are under the will of the United States and Israel? Does this method make sense to protect the dignity of the Lebanese people?
He also stressed that the government should reduce the problems of the people and get the country out of this quagmire, addressing those who link the power outage to the import of fuel from Iran:
Why don't they look back? While they themselves have stolen the public property of the country and brought Lebanon into darkness.
