Monday, 11 October 2021 (YJC)_ The Iranian Foreign Minister announced that he will travel to Armenia and Azerbaijan soon.
In an interview with the Russian television channel, the Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian announced that he will travel to Armenia and Azerbaijan soon.
Once more he emphasized on the fact that the Iran’s administration’s focus now is on its neighbors and that is among the country’s policy priorities and added “To be focused on having good relationships with our neighbors, especially, our northern neighbors, is one of the foreign policy priorities of the new Iranian government.”
“Azerbaijan and Armenia are two good neighbors of Iran, we cannot work against them,” he said while adding that the country’s foreign policy is a balanced one.
Amir-Abdollahian went on to add that “Common interests of Iran with Azerbaijan and the common interests of Iran with Armenia are what determines the nature of the relations.”
Finally, he referred to the recent trip of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia to Tehran and said “There exist and opportunity for the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan to travel to Iran and I will definitely visit the two countries at the appropriate time.”
