Monday, 11 October 2021 (YJC)_ The Iranian Health Ministry announced that 13,504 new Covid-19 cases have been detected in the country in the past 24 hrs.
The Iranian Health Ministry spokesperson announced on Monday that 13,504 new COVID-19 infections have been detected across the country in the past 24 hours 1,968 of which has been hospitalized.
“A sum of 13,504 COVID-19 infections and 276 deaths has been identified due to the disease in the past 24 hours” the spox said while adding that “This brings the total number of cases to 5,716,394.”
276 COVID patients have lost their lives in the past 24 hours that bring the total death toll 122,868,” the ministry added.
“5,218 people are being treated in ICUs in hospitals across the country, while 5,234,010 have already gained recovery,” the health ministry added.
The ministry also added that 33,350,660 coronavirus diagnosis tests have so far been carried out across the country while adding that “More than 45.74 million Iranians have received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, while over 19.91 million have received the second dosage.”
The ministry also warned that “7 cities are rated red, 108 cities are orange, 248 cities are yellow, and 85 cities are blue.”
According to the latest figures, more than 238,768,333 people have so far been infected with the novel coronavirus globally, with the deaths standing 4,869,770 and recoveries amounting to 215,944,323.
