Monday, 11 October 2021 (YJC)_ Iranian Foreign Minister announced the country’s readiness to help Beirut overcome its current economic crisis.
During his remarks on Monday, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian renewed the country’s strong support for Lebanon and announced Iran’s readiness to help Beirut overcome its current economic crisis.
“In spite of all the difficult economic situation that we are facing, we are ready to provide Lebanon with all kinds of aid,” he said.
Elsewhere in his remark’s Iranian Foreign minister said “We respect the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of Lebanon.”
Amir-Abdollahian also expressed Iran’s hope that a relevant bilateral agreement can be signed soon while announcing the country’s readiness to continue sending fuel products to Lebanon in the future.
The third tanker carrying Iranian fuel has already reached Syria to be transferred to neighboring Lebanon.
Iran began to send fuel to Lebanon in August through the Lebanese resistance group Hezbollah, which announced the purchase of Iranian fuel shipments after the Lebanese government’s failure to deal with the country’s crippling fuel shortages.
