Monday, 11 October 2021 (YJC)_The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly praised the national wrestling team in the world championships and said that breaking the record and winning four gold medals in the world wrestling competitions is due to the efforts of a capable and experienced national team coach.
Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf published a post on his Instagram page and wrote:
"I congratulate the dear people of Iran, especially the honorable people of Amol, Babol and Shiraz, for winning the gold medal by the champions of the national wrestling team, Meysam Delkhani, Mohammad Reza Garai, Mohammad Hadi Saravi and Ali Akbar Yousefi."
"The record-breaking and winning four gold medals in the World Wrestling Championships is due to the efforts of the capable and experienced coach of the national team, Mr. Mohammad Bana, and the coaching staff and officials of the federation, especially Mr. Alireza Dabir, to whom I also call sincerity."
At the end of the World Championships in Norway, the Iranian national wrestling team won 4 gold medals by Meysam Delkhani in the weight of 63, Mohammad Reza Garai in the weight of 67, Mohammad Hadi Saravi in the weight of 97 kg and Ali Akbar Yousefi in the weight of 130 kg and 2 bronze medals in the weight of 77 kg. And Pejman Pashtam in the weight of 82 kg, after Russia, stood on the podium of the world runner-up.
Mohammad Reza Mokhtari came in fifth in 72 kg, Sajjad Abbaspour in 55 kg, Mehrdad Mardani in 60 kg and Ramin Taheri in 87 kg also dropped out of the competition.
