Sunday, 10 October 2021 (YJC)_ The Iranian Health Ministry announced that 11,256 new Covid-19 cases have been detected in the country in the past 24 hrs.
The Iranian Health Ministry spokesperson announced on Sunday that 11,256 new COVID-19 infections have been detected across the country in the past 24 hours 1,733 of which has been hospitalized.
“A sum of 11,256 COVID-19 infections and 222 deaths has been identified due to the disease in the past 24 hours” the spox said while adding that “This brings the total number of cases to 5,702,809.”
222 COVID patients have lost their lives in the past 24 hours that bring the total death toll 122,599,” the ministry added.
“5,304 people are being treated in ICUs in hospitals across the country, while 5,217,999 have already gained recovery,” the health ministry added.
The ministry also added that 33,246,447 coronavirus diagnosis tests have so far been carried out across the country while adding that “64,401,945 doses of coronavirus vaccines have been administered in the country.”
The ministry also warned that “7 cities are rated red, 108 cities are orange, 248 cities are yellow, and 85 cities are blue.”
According to the latest figures, more than 238,485,294 people have so far been infected with the novel coronavirus globally, with the deaths standing 4,865,243 and recoveries amounting to 215,631,126.
