Syria: We support the Iranian-Arab dialogueIn an interview with Al-Watan newspaper, Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal al-Mekdad commented on developments in Syria and the region.

He said:
The change in relations between Syria and the Arab countries has been going on for some time, and these changes are related to the international developments that have convinced the "Arab brothers". Relying on Western countries to guarantee.

Al-Mekdad expressed optimism about the start of deeper talks between Syria and Arab countries, stating:
All sides have realized that the current situation is not in anyone's interest, Western plans threaten us all, it does not want good for us, but wants changes that will facilitate the hegemony of Western countries and the United States over our capabilities.

He emphasized:
What Syria is trying to do now is for the Arab-Arab relations to be in the interests of the Arab countries. "Our main enemy is not the Arab countries, but Israel. "What Syria wishes is to leave the past behind to look at the present and the future."

Al-Mekdad then said:
Syria supports dialogue between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Arab states in the Persian Gulf and any Arab country that wants good relations with Iran. "If the Islamic Republic of Iran wants us to help or facilitate any dialogue, Syria is ready because "Damascus believes that Arab-Islamic solidarity is the right way to face the challenges we face."
