Sunday, 10 October 2021 (YJC)_ The President issued orders to expedite the relief and reconstruction of the damaged areas of the Indika earthquake.
In separate telephone conversations with the governor of Khuzestan and the governor of Indika on Sunday, the president followed up on the situation of the earthquake victims and issued orders to expedite the relief and reconstruction of the damaged places.
Ayatollah Seyyed Ibrahim Raisi in these phone calls, referring to the approaching cold season and the impassability of the region, emphasized:
Resettlement of earthquake victims and acceleration in the reconstruction and construction of damaged places must be done quickly.
The President also ordered the Housing Foundation to follow up and rebuild the destroyed houses and places.
At 2:46 AM on Saturday, a magnitude 5 earthquake shook the city and villages of Qala-e-Khajeh in the city of Indika, destroying some houses of villagers and residents of these areas.
