Sheikh Ahmad Qabban, the Mufti of Jafari in Lebanon, said in a meeting with the people's delegations that leaving the country in these catastrophic conditions and total collapse is not acceptable.

He added:
What is expected is a national uprising against Washington and acceptance of the offer of Iran, China or Russia. Anyone who prefers the silence, poverty and drowning of Lebanon at the suggestion of Iran, China or Russia is playing the role of a traitor against this oppressed nation.
Sheikh Qaban emphasized:
US custody of Lebanon must be lifted because its continuation means the impoverishment of Lebanon, the hunger of its people and the loss of the government, as well as the end of its existence. The "political authority" that insists on Lebanon's future relationship with Washington is pushing Lebanon backwards.
