Saturday, 9 October 2021 (YJC)_ An Iranian Official announced that Tehran-based Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute will hand over 5 million doses of its covid-19 vaccine to the Health Ministry.
After issuing the emergency use permit from the health ministry on Saturday, spokesman for the Tehran-based Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute Dr. Hossein Fallah Mehrabadi announced the Covid-19 made by the institute is ready to hand over 5 million doses to the Iranian Health Ministry.
“We will produce up to 20 million doses this year,” he announced while adding that “This vaccine will be included in the group of vaccines that are used in the national vaccination campaign.”
He went on to refer to the domestic vaccines and said “Thus far, about 13,500 people have received the first dose of the vaccine and about 1,700 people have received the second dose of the vaccine.”
Spokesman for Razi Research Institute also announced that “The home-made vaccine will join the vaccination drive in Iran by the month of Aban (November.)’
