Saturday, 9 October 2021 (YJC)_ The Iranian Health Ministry announced that 7,654 new Covid-19 cases have been detected in the country in the past 24 hrs.

Iran Covid-19 live Update: Near 7K New Cases, 173 DeathsThe Iranian Health Ministry spokesperson announced on Saturday that 7,654 new COVID-19 infections have been detected across the country in the past 24 hours 1,286 of which has been hospitalized.

“A sum of 7,654 COVID-19 infections and 173 deaths has been identified due to the disease in the past 24 hours” the spox said while adding that “This brings the total number of cases to 5,691,634.”

173 COVID patients have lost their lives in the past 24 hours that bring the total death toll 122,370,” the ministry added.

“5,368 people are being treated in ICUs in hospitals across the country, while 5,200,000 have already gained recovery,” the health ministry added.

The ministry also added that more than 32.14 million coronavirus diagnosis tests have so far been carried out across the country while adding that “62,978,788 doses of coronavirus vaccines have been administered in the country.”

According to the ministry “More than 44.37 million Iranians have received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, while over 18.6 million have received the second dosage.”

According to the latest figures, more than 238,146,174 people have so far been infected with the novel coronavirus globally, with the deaths standing 4,860,277 and recoveries amounting to 215,292,984.
