Friday, 8 October 2021 (YJC)_ The Iranian Health Ministry announced that 9,897 new Covid-19 cases have been detected in the country in the past 24 hrs.
The Iranian Health Ministry spokesperson announced on Friday that 9,897 new COVID-19 infections have been detected across the country in the past 24 hours 1,424 of which has been hospitalized.
“A sum of 9,897 COVID-19 infections and 185 deaths has been identified due to the disease in the past 24 hours” the spox said while adding that “This brings the total number of cases to 5,683,980.”
185 COVID patients have lost their lives in the past 24 hours that bring the total death toll 122,197,” the ministry added.
“5,451 people are being treated in ICUs in hospitals across the country, while 5,186,096 have already gained recovery,” the health ministry added.
The ministry also added that 33,039,254 coronavirus diagnosis tests have so far been carried out across the country while warning that “7 cities are rated red, 108 cities are orange, 248 cities are yellow, and 85 cities are blue.”
According to the latest figures, more than 237,742,608 people have so far been infected with the novel coronavirus globally, with the deaths standing 4,852,676 and recoveries amounting to 214,805,848.
