Thursday, 7 October 2021 (YJC)_ After arriving at Beirut airport, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran congratulated the formation of a new government in the country and said that Tehran would never hesitate to help Beirut if requested.
Lebanon's Al-Manar TV reported on Thursday morning that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, had arrived at Beirut Airport.
The network then reported that Amir Abdullahian told reporters after getting off the plane:
I extend my sincere congratulations to the Lebanese people on the occasion of the formation of the new government.
Emphasizing Tehran's continued support for Beirut, he explained:
Under no circumstances will the Islamic Republic withhold support and assistance from Lebanon if it requests any assistance.
The head of Iran's diplomatic service also added:
We are absolutely confident that Lebanon will be able to overcome all the difficulties it is experiencing; As the friendly and brotherly people of Lebanon have overcome all the difficult stages they have gone through.
According to Al-Manar, the Iranian Foreign Minister will meet on Thursday with Lebanese President Michel Aoun, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, Prime Minister Najib Mikati and Foreign Minister Abdullah Bo Habib.
According to the report, Amir Abdullahian will also meet with representatives of factions and Palestinian forces at the Iranian embassy in Beirut.
