Thursday, 7 October 2021 (YJC)_ Iranian Health Ministry issued an emergency permit for Iranian-Australian Vaccine.

Emergency Permit for Iranian-Australian Vaccine has been issuedThe director of Spikogen vaccine, the Iranian Food and Drug Administration (IFDA) Haleh Hamedifar announcd that the health ministry issued an emergency permit for Iranian-Australian Vaccine.

Spikogen vaccine is jointly produced by the Iranian company of CinnaGen and Australian Vaxine Pty, the first phase of its clinical trial studies was conducted in Australia and the second and third phases were in Iran.

Also, Spikogen is the first Covid-19 vaccine made by the private sector in Iran.

Last week, Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi announced that the vaccination of about 70% of the country's population will be completed within the next 3 or 4 days.

Since the administration of President Ebrahim Raeisi in early August, the vaccination has been considerably accelerated.

Also, Prior to that, Iranian Health Minister Bahram Einollahi announced that the vaccination of the country's school students has started.

It is also noteworthy mentioning that, a report showed that “Since the beginning of vaccination in Iran, the country records the highest weekly injection of COVID-19 vaccine after France and Germany.”
