Wednesday, 6 October 2021 (YJC)_ Hezbollah's deputy, while declaring that the movement was not dictatorial, stressed the use of all legitimate means by the resistance to support Lebanon and to counter the US siege.
Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naeem Qasim said in a statement at a meeting of the Jamiat Muslim Ulema in Lebanon that using all legitimate means to support Lebanon and its people, as well as countering the US siege, is a right of resistance.
According to Al-Ahd, he stressed that Hezbollah does not accept dictation because its goal is freedom, independence and emancipation.
Sheikh Qasim added:
We do not allow anyone to attack us without responding to this attack, we must be strong and ready for all challenges at all levels; We do not accept the establishment of the Zionist regime in the region and we will continue to fight against the occupier.
He called on the Lebanese government to call on the Americans to end the siege of Lebanon, as Iraq and Jordan did in their relations with Syria.
Hezbollah's deputy stated:
Syria is the economic lung of Lebanon, and Lebanon will not be able to solve its problem with all the projects that are proposed until it can solve the problem of this economic lung and the refugees.
Sheikh Qasim also addressed the parliamentary elections to be held in the spring of 2020, saying that Hezbollah emphasized holding these elections in its own time.
