Monday,4 October 2021 (YJC)_ Referring to the 13th government's neighborhood policy and the importance of relations with Turkmenistan, the Turkmen Foreign Minister stressed the need to develop comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

The Turkmen Foreign Minister called the recent meeting of the two presidents in Tajikistan a turning point in relations and stressed the need to follow up and implement the agreements reached between the two presidents.

While congratulating the anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence, Amir-Abdollahian also referred to the neighborhood policy of the 13th government and the importance of relations with Turkmenistan, and stressed the need to develop comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

In this call, the two sides, while emphasizing the direct responsibility of the Foreign Ministries of the two countries in pursuing the leaders' agreements, agreed to expedite the holding of a joint commission of the two countries in Tehran in the near future and review cooperation in the fields of transportation and trade.
