Saturday,2 October 2021 (YJC)_ The Iranian embassy in Seoul followed up on a banking problem for Iranian students.
The Iranian embassy in Seoul followed up on the issue during a meeting with South Korean Foreign Ministry officials immediately after learning of the banking problem at the University of South Korea.
According to a study conducted by the South Korean government, the e-mail sent to a number of students at the university stating that it was not possible to provide banking services was due to a misunderstanding between the university and the KEB branch in South Korea.
The South Korean government's policy is not to impose banking restrictions on Iranian students, and students will be notified of this in separate emails soon.
At the same time, the issue is still being pursued by our embassy in Seoul.
