Wednesday, 29 September 2021 (YJC)_ A Kremlin spokesman has condemned the removal of two pages of the Russia Today network on YouTube by the American company Google.
Google's move to remove two pages of the Russia Today network from YouTube's video-sharing service has provoked a backlash from President Vladimir Putin's office.
YouTube (Google's video sharing service) blocked two German-language channels on the RT network yesterday.
According to Sputnik, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov condemned the American company's action, calling it censorship and obstruction of media activity.
According to Peskov, if Moscow authorities find that the blocking of Russia Today's YouTube channels violates Russian law, executive action may be taken against the American company.
A German government spokesman also reacted to YouTube's move to block Rasha Todi's two pages, saying Berlin had no role to play.
