Tuesday, 28 September 2021 (YJC)_ A member of the Hamas political bureau predicted that the West Bank would become a scene of widespread confrontation with the Zionist regime.
"The situation in the West Bank is moving towards a comprehensive confrontation with the occupying regime," said Hossam Badran, a member of the Hamas political bureau.
He added that the West Bank has enough fighters to confront the occupying regime, despite security coordination with the regime and the persecution.
Badran stated that the focus of the resistance on the West Bank is because this region and its cities, especially the occupied Jerusalem, are exposed to Judaism and settlement building.
According to the Arab 21 website, the member of Hamas' political bureau also said that the occupying regime attaches importance to any martyrdom operation, even if it is small, because it fears a repeat of these operations.
Criticizing the security coordination with the occupying regime and blaming its perpetrators, Badran stressed that the occupying regime is trying to dismantle the resistance in the West Bank and is spending a lot of money in this regard.
Referring to popular support for the resistance in the West Bank, he said that the resistance also needs political support, which should put aside the illusion of compromise and turn to a national agreement to confront the occupying regime.
He added: "We are facing a historic opportunity for Palestinian leaders to join the people and continue to resist, just as there is no hope for a new US administration like the previous one and there is no horizon for reconciliation."
