Monday, 27 September 2021 (YJC)_ On the fifth anniversary of the signing of the Israeli gas import agreement, the Jordanian people held demonstrations demanding the cancellation of the agreement.
Jordanian protesters gathered in front of the Ministry of Energy and the Electricity Company on Sunday (yesterday), chanting slogans against the Zionist regime and the agreement to import gas from the regime.
The demonstration was called by the "National Campaign to Abolish the Import Agreement with the Zionist Regime" with the slogan "No to the agreement, Jordan should not be the enemy's gateway for gas and electricity exports."
Protesters held placards reading "Gas is the enemy of the occupation."
They also chanted:
"The agreement is a betrayal," "Arab Jordan is for the free, not for the traitorous Zionists."
In this regard, "Mohammad Al-Absi", a member of the campaign follow-up committee, said that the demonstration was held on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the signing of this catastrophic agreement.
