Three people were killed and more than 50 were injured when a train carrying 141 passengers and 16 crew members derailed on the train of the American Railway Company Amtrak in the western US state of Montana.
According to the British newspaper "Daily Mail", according to the Liberty County Sheriff's Office, in the accident that took place on Saturday afternoon, eight of the 10 train carriages derailed while transporting passengers from Chicago to Seattle. Two wagons are said to have fallen from a 30-foot embankment.
U.S. police confirmed that three occupants had died from their injuries. Amtrak also announced in a statement: We are very sorry to hear that local authorities are now confirming that three people have died as a result of this incident.
