Saturday, 25 September 2021 (YJC)_ Kyrgyzstan received a land transit permit from the Islamic Republic of Iran to transport goods from Bandar Abbas.
During a bilateral meeting between Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Ruslan Kazakbayev and Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdllahian on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, it was agreed that Bishkek would use Bandar Abbas.
According to the Iranian Foreign Minister, the port will provide the necessary infrastructure along with a plot of land for the transit of goods from Kyrgyzstan.
The Foreign Ministers of Iran and Kyrgyzstan also discussed trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian cooperation and the latest situation in Afghanistan.
