Nasser Mousavi Largani, member of the Economic Committee of the Majlis, in interview with the Islamic Consultative Assembly News Agency said "The recent reduction in oil price is the continuation of Saudi Arabia’s policies which have always opposed Islamic countries, especially Iran; and which have always favored arrogant states and the Zionist.”
Largani further stated "We ask the Oil Ministry to help convene the OPEC session as soon as possible. The Foreign Ministry also have to enter the scene along with the Oil Ministry, to hold meetings with foreign ministers of OPEC members and ambassadors, and to devise policies whereby to prevent this downhill trend.”
The MP stressing the urge to stop the downward trend on oil prices said "Maybe if it was 10 years ago, the reduction of oil prices would have damaged the country’s economy quite a lot. But as our dependency on oil has diminished, it is not us who are going to suffer, but certainly there are other countries which will suffer.”
