Wednesday, 22 September 2021 (YJC)_ Referring to the US withdrawal from Afghanistan, the IRGC Commander-in-Chief said: "The US withdrawal from Afghanistan was disgraceful."
Major General Hossein Salami, Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, said at the forty-first anniversary of the Holy Defense Epic:
The Holy Defense was a global spark of a great revolution that the enemies and soldiers of Satan tried to defeat. God's miracle, and God's help, thanks to the current governorship, made a bright and sunless spot for Islamic Iran.
He said:
Today we have a current resistance and a comprehensive war. All-out arrogance attacked us and wanted no one to wear jihad, but no one agreed to psychological operations and soft warfare of the enemy. Our nation knew that the truth is in the Qur'an, not what the enemies say. Strategic ambiguity is the most important thing that has gripped the enemy. Leaving the scene is considered an escape, and if it stays, it pays a heavy price. The revolution has managed the enemy in a way that is between two evils. We have defeated the enemy in the economic siege. We shine in other areas as well. We also have an influential presence on the battlefield. Can the influence of Islam be reduced in the hearts of Muslims and free people of the world? We do not spend in the desert like the United States. Many Americans are homeless. This is a tactical mistake. The United States left Afghanistan in disgrace, and it is their constant characteristic that, according to the Qur'an, they destroy everything they build, such as weapons and equipment, and Saddam with their own hands.
